In INDIA,

 

Almost every MBA entrance exam syllabus is the same and shares common topics like Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation. Some entrance exams include other topics like Decision Making, Analytical Writing Assessment, General Knowledge. Therefore, it is significant to possess this information to decide which exams you can take and which colleges you want to apply to. Below here is a list of the entrance exams for MBA. 

 

1. CAT

Common Admission Test or CAT is conducted by Indian Institutes of Management. Almost 20 IIMs and other B-school colleges use the score of CAT.

2. SNAP

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test is a national-level management entrance test conducted by SIU. The exam is conducted annually in the online mode for admission to MBA/ MSc (CA) / MSc (SS) programs offered by SIU affiliated institutes.

3. MAT

Management Aptitude Test 2019 is a national-level exam conducted by All India Management Association(AIMA) for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses. MAT exam is conducted four times a year - February, May, September and in December.

  • Section- Indian and Global Environment, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis, and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence, and Critical Reasoning

4. CMAT

The second-largest management entrance examination of the country, Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is taken by roughly 1.5 lakh candidates. Conducted by the National Testing Agency, CMAT is a popular option among MBA aspirants after CAT.

5. IIFT

The IIFT entrance exam is conducted for admission to MBA International Business (full-time) offered by the three campuses of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. About 60, 000 candidates appear for 420 seats across IIFT’s Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada campuses.

6. XAT

Xavier Aptitude Test is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI members, over 700 B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their post-graduate management programs.

7. TSICET

Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test is conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) for admission to MBA and MCA courses offered by the various universities of Telangana including their affiliated colleges.

8. KMAT

Karnataka or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is conducted by Karnataka Post Graduate Private Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) for admissions to Master of Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses.

9. MAH-CET

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MAH CET is a computer-based management entrance test. Officially known as MAH MBA/MMS-CET, the exam is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to management courses in various management institutes in the state of Maharashtra.

10. NMAT By GMAC

NMAT exam is a unique management admission test with 75 days testing window in which the candidates can book their own exam slots per their convenience and on a real-time basis.

  • Business Management Aptitude Exams: The two primary exams are GMAT and GRE. GRE was more popular among MS applicants. GMAT was the de facto standard for MBA courses. However, things are changing and many MBA universities have also started accepting GRE scores. 

 

  • Language Proficiency Exams: There are two popular exams that are accepted by international business schools across the world – TOEFL and IELTS. Both of them are similar in the sense that they cover reading, writing, speaking and listening.
